Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea is to win a newbuilding order for 158,000-dwt tankers from Delta Tankers of Greece.
Industry sources believe the companies have signed a letter of intent for two firm ships plus one option.
Market price for a new suezmax today is about $55m, although some say Delta may be paying as much as $58m per ship.
Delivery is reportedly scheduled for 2015, according to latest broker reports.
