Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Offshore (DISC Offshore) has entered into a new contract with Seadrill for the construction of two jack-up drilling rigs.
The newbuild rigs will adopt a F&G JU200E design and are scheduled for delivery during the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016, and the total project price per rig is approximately $230m.
Seadrill now has in total eight jack-ups under construction at DSIC Offshore of which two are scheduled for delivery in 2013, five in 2015 and one in 2016.
