SITC has announced it has signed for options for two more ships at Taiwan’s CSBC. SITC had originally ordered a pair of 1,800 teu ships, becoming the first mainland shipowner to order in Taiwan for around 20 years. The deal came with a total of six options.
“The newbuildings will enable the company to expand its self-owned fleet of container vessels to meet the increasing demand for the company’s services,” SITC said in a statement.
