CSIC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant and China Shipbuilding & Offshore International have entered into an offshore platform building contract with United Arab Emirates offshore contractor Quality Marine Services (QMS).
The total contract value is around RMB1.1bn.
The order includes three jack-up offshore platforms, with 80m depth working capacity, able to accommodate 250 people.
The platforms will be used for oil and gas exploration in the Gulf area after delivery.
CSIC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant and China Shipbuilding & Offshore International are the marine machinery production and the trading arm of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), one of the two largest state-owned shipbuilding enterprises in China.
