After a banner year for the 2006-founded Mandarin Shipping in which it ordered its first newbuilds, the line intends to carry on at the same pace in 2015.

Mandarin Shipping, the Tim Huxley shipping investment vehicle, made plain its intention to keep building up its fleet, according to a note.

"Having firmly established Mandarin, the coming year will see us aim to continue to grow our presence in the container market whilst at the same time be in a position to take on other opportunities in shipping should we see opportunities with real value," the company said in a release.

Last year, Mandarin Shipping ordered six 1,700 teu ships at a yard in China.
