The Mexican Navy (Secretaria de Marina - SEMAR) and Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyards Group have signed contracts for three 42-metre patrol vessels. All ships will be of the Damen Stan Patrol 4207 design.

The three SPa 4207 vessels, known in Mexico as the Ténochtitlan class, will be constructed by the Mexican Navy Yard ASTIMAR 1 in Tampico. Damen will provide the engineering, material package, technical assistance and crew training.
