US-based crude oil shipping company Gener8 Maritime has received the ECO very large crude carrier (VLCC) Gener8 Hector from Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines, Inc.

Gener8 Hector, which was delivered on Jan. 6, 2017, represents the 19th of 21 ECO VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet.

Upon delivery, the Gener8 Hector entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool.

In late November 2016, the company expanded its fleet with the 18th VLCC from the batch, Gener8 Theseus, which also entered the VL8 Pool upon delivery.
